In this week’s episode, I’m excited to share some amazing things happening with XtianNinja Online Missions and then something a little different – a talk-show interview I did when I was a guest on the Not the Bee Unofficial Podcast, where I share about – well – a little of everything (including my hatred for celery)! It’s a 2-hour conversation and I had a lot of fun, so I hope you’ll enjoy it too.

Intro Script:

Hello and welcome to the podcast, I’m super glad you’re listening! How are you doing today? I hope you’re very well!

I just want to jump in here before I hit go on the interview to let you know that some amazing things have been happening in my life lately, and I could really use your prayers, encouragement, and support.

First, the channel has been growing so much lately, and it’s absolutely blowing my mind. We just hit 400 followers, 50 subscribers, and each stream has over 20 average viewers. The YouTube channel has hit 79 subscribers, which is pretty good too. I’m so amazed at how fast and consistent the growth is – and that’s all because supporters like you are praying for me, watching the streams, lurking, or are helping me financially so I can concentrate my full energies on it. I’m so thankful for you.

But I don’t want to talk about the numbers, what I want to share with you is what God is pushing me towards – and I don’t want to take up too much time because the episode is already way longer than usual – but I want you to know that I’ve been feeling a call towards becoming a pastor and mentor to the Christian Content Creation community. This has been cooking in the back of my head for a while now, actually, but I never really wanted to talk too much about it because I wasn’t sure if it’s what God wanted me to do.

You see, when I started the channel, I assumed it was going to be primarily evangelistic. My heart is for the lonely and lost people who watch Twitch. That’s what I’ve been concentrating on – but the people I’ve been attracting to the channel have been a lot broader than I thought they’d be. Long story short, a lot of Christian streamers, content creators, and believers without a church family, who watch regularly – and a big part of the streams has been… and really there’s no better word for this… pastoring them. And I’ve been feeling God’s pull to move my ministry in that direction.

I’ve had people from all over the world, talented creators, pastors, ministry leaders, and individual brothers and sisters, consistently tell me that they feel like I’m bringing something to the online community that is sorely needed. Experience, maturity, theological training, technical expertise, and an understanding and passion for online missions. I’m a bit of a unicorn in that way. And so, this week, after some people from totally outside my box – a businessman from Singapore, and a E-Sports Ministry Leader from the southern US – started talking to me about taking my ministry to another level, I used my stream to talk to Christian creators from all around the world – and it was my biggest stream ever – to ask the simple question, “How many of you want me to mentor you as a sort of “online pastor”? How many want me to pour my energies into creating a system, a curriculum, a mentoring program, for Christian Content Creators to go through, where I lead, train, and teach you how to be a better Christian Disciple, a better Disciple Maker, and a better Christian Streamer?” and the response was honestly overwhelming…

So, that’s what I’m asking you to pray about. If this is what God wants me to do, it’s going to take a huge time commitment. My current streams are already a full-time job , and designing, writing, teaching, and leading a whole 3 year discipleship program (yeah, I’m thinking big right now) is going to be its own full-time job. I’m willing to do it, and I’ve already got a bunch of ideas and plans – but I need some support to do it.

So, here’s what I want you to pray for and talk to your friends, churches, and whoever else about:

I need a few things:

First, if I’m going to do this right, I need a team. I need a business person, artist, and a couple experts. I could do it all on my own, and have in the past, but the product will be much better, and out way faster, if I have at team.

Second, I need some major donors. I want to pour my whole self into making this material, and into mentoring and raising up a generation of Christian Content Creators that are fully devoted followers of Christ, who know the scriptures, know God, and create excellent content that attracts people from all around the world. And that’s only going to happen if I can find some major donors to fund the project, and give me the freedom I need to do that.

My goal right now is a consistent $5000 per month. That puts my family a little bit over what is considered the poverty line in Canada, but it’s enough to pay our bills.

I think some incredible things are going to happen over the next couple months, and I’m really excited.

Thank you for all your support and prayers. And thank you for listening!

The following audio was recorded for the UnOfficial Not the Bee Social Podcast – which is a sort of in-house podcast for all the people who are part of their invitation only social network, but I was given permission to share it here too. The hosts are named Israel and FNH (short for Faithful not Helpful) and it was a lot of fun to record, so I hope you enjoy it!
