Pets, Animals, Heaven and Eternity

For several years, Steve has had a recurring daydream of being able to ride a giant, trophy sized, white tale buck (think Bambi’s father) through the fields of heaven. He dreams of a little step-stool on which he would stand to mount the patiently waiting deer. Then they would ride through the forest, jumping creeks and fences. He fears this dream isn’t very biblical.

In our world today, we see many people treating their pets as pseudo children. What does the Bible say about pets, animals and creation in heaven? Will our favourite pets be there waiting for us? Do I stand a chance or riding a stag through the forests of heaven?
